ZANZIBAR, Aug. 13 -- GROWING demand for cleaner cooking solutions is opening new financing opportunities in Tanzania, with National Bank of Commerce (NBC) stepping up support for businesses and innovators across the sector as the country seeks to reduce reliance on traditional fuels.

NBC Managing Director Mr Theobald Sabi said the bank was committed to supporting businesses, innovators and other players across the clean cooking ecosystem, creating opportunities for investment, employment and enterprise development.

He spoke yesterday during a photography art auction presided over by President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the Kizimkazi celebrations in Zanzibar.
