BURUNDI, Aug. 17 -- TANZANIAN drivers, Yassin Nasser and Prince Nyerere, are better-positioned to claim the African Rally Championship diadems despite finishing second and third behind the overall winner Samman Vohra Singh from Kenya
Vohra, who was co-driven by Drew Sturrock, won the Rally Burundi, but remains 8 points behind Tanzanian driver Nasser.
The victory has elevated the Kenyan Sheffield Racing crew to 2nd position on the scoreboard, with 106 points and gapped by 8 points from Ugandas Yasin Nasser the table leader.
Yasin Nasser/Ali Katumba finished 2nd and bagged 28 vital points that have kept the crew in the lead as the championship heads to Tanzania in September for the Ultimate round.
