ZANZIBAR, Oct. 11 -- ZANZIBAR CCM presidential candidate Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi has pledged to create a more supportive business environment for entrepreneurs, especially women by improving access to capital, providing business training and establishing modern market spaces that promote dignity and stability.

Speaking during a meeting with entrepreneurs on Thursday at Idris Abdulwakil Hall, Kikwajuni in Urban West Region, Dr Mwinyi said his government, if elected will commit to addressing the challenges faced by small business communities across the Isles.

He revealed that the government had previously allocated 96bn/-to support entrepreneurs nationwide, but many intended beneficiaries failed to access the funds.
