DODOMA, Oct. 14 -- THE late Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyereres dream of transforming Dodoma into Tanzanias administrative and development capital has now become a reality through a series of flagship projects currently reshaping the region.

This was reaffirmed when a delegation from the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Memorial Institute toured several major projects in Dodoma ahead of todays commemoration marking the 26th anniversary of Mwalimu Nyereres passing.

In the early 1970s, Mwalimu Nyerere envisioned Dodoma as the nations nerve centre for administration, governance and socio-economic growth.

His successors have continued to actualise that dream through infrastructure development, investment and innovation.
