DAR ES SALAAM, March 19 -- THE Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Sports has expressed satisfaction with the pace of implementation of the College of Medicine construction project at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), noting that progress has exceeded contractual targets.

According to an implementation report under the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project worth over 77bn/-, construction of students hostels has reached 82.5 per cent against the planned 76 per cent.

The laboratory building has attained 70.5 per cent completion compared to 68 per cent, while lecture halls stand at 70.5 per cent against a target of 65 per cent. Construction of the dining hall has reache...
