MTWARA, Feb. 10 -- Mtwara Port has reinforced its position as a major gateway for cargo after an MV ANA OCEAN from China berthed carrying a large shipment of buses, heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment — a total of 1,279 items weighing 7,704 tonnes.
The cargo is destined for Tanzanian clients, with some shipments headed to customers in Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, and Rwanda.
The arrival of these vessels highlights the success of Mtwara Ports marketing strategies, which aim to serve both domestic and regional markets.
