MOROGORO, July 18 -- MOROGORO Region is now better positioned to accelerate its development following the implementation of major road and bridge projects in Malinyi and Ulanga districts.

The optimism was expressed by Minister for Works, Mr Abdallah Ulega recently during an inspection tour of ongoing road and bridge infrastructure projects in the two districts.

He said funds have already been allocated in the 2026/27 national budget to finance the projects, which are expected to facilitate agricultural production, improve crop transportation and support mining activities.

The projects include upgrading the 112-kilometre Ifakara-Lupiro-Malinyi road to bitumen standard and constructing the 100-metre Fuluwa Bridge and Namahanga Bridge.
