DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 16 -- MUHIMBILI Orthopedic Institute (MOI) has continued to excel in providing orthopedic services in the developing world, receiving funding for surgical equipment for bone fractures from the US-based non-governmental organization, Surgical Implant Generation Network (SIGN).
SIGN is an organization that for over 25 years, has been coordinating and funding implants and surgical equipment for developing countries, intending to improve orthopedic services worldwide.
Through an international assessment released on January 15, MOI has ranked second out of 450 hospitals worldwide collaborating with SIGN.
These achievements have led MOI to continue to be recognized as a center of excellence in orthopedics in Africa....
