MBEYA, Sept. 19 -- NEWLY promoted Mbeya City FC kicked off their Mainland Premier League campaign on the right foot after earning their first victory in their return to the top flight league outshining Fountain Gate FC at the Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium.

Mbeya Citys hero in yesterday evening match was Habib Kyombo who stepped in to convert a spot kick awarded in the 56th minute to give his side the match lead and lone winner away in Manyara region.

The game commenced in slow tempo with both sides making moves to their opponents goals in search of an early goal but both defences were tight and not easy to penetrate, which made the two sides go into the breather in deadlock.
