MANYONI, Sept. 10 -- MANYONI District Council has trained newly recruited revenue collectors on integrity, professionalism and compliance with public service laws ahead of deploying them to collect local government revenue.

The specialised training was conducted on Monday by officials from the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB), the Human Resources Office, the Treasury, the Information and Communication Technology Unit and the Department of Culture, Arts and Sports.

The officers were directed to avoid corrupt practices, ensure that all revenue collected is deposited into bank accounts and perform their duties in accordance with established procedures.
