DODOMA, May 4 -- THE Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Paul Makonda, has requested Parliament to approve a total of 525.32bn/- for the ministrys budget for the 2026/2027 financial year, to facilitate the implementation of nine sector priorities.

This was stated today, May 4, 2026, in Parliament in Dodoma by Minister Makonda while presenting the ministrys revenue and expenditure estimates for the 2026/2027 financial year.

He said that out of the proposed budget, 39.07bn/- will be allocated for salaries of public servants, 28.06bn/- for other recurrent expenditure, and 45.82bn/-for development projects.
