TUNDUMA, Sept. 11 -- THE Deputy Minister for Energy Salome Makamba has arrived in Songwe District, Songwe Region, for the launch of a project to construct a 220-kilovolt (kV) electricity transmission line from Iganjo in Mbeya Region to Saza in Songwe Region, along with the construction of the Saza Substation.

The project was officially launched today. Ahead of the ceremony, Makamba visited the Songwe District Commissioners Office, where she held talks with district leaders led by Songwe District Commissioner Fadhil Nkurlu.
