DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 13 -- JKT Queens secured a 2–1 win over Simba Queens to lift the Womens Community Shield at the KMC Complex yesterday, with two early goals proving enough to seal the result.

In the third-place play-off, Yanga Princess earned a 3–0 victory over Mashujaa Queens, closing their campaign with a solid performance.

In the final, JKT Queens made a strong start, striking twice within the opening 20 minutes to take control.

The opener came in the 12th minute when Jamila Rajabu worked the ball down the right flank before delivering a low cross into the box.

Winfrida Gerald timed her run well, arriving ahead of the defence to finish past Simba goalkeeper Ruth Aturo.
