DAR ES SALAAM, April 15 -- THE Acting Executive Director of the Journalists Accreditation Board (JAB), Patrick Kipangula, has urged journalists in the country to strictly observe professional ethics in the course of their duties, warning that violations could jeopardize peace and social stability.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam during a meeting organized by the Tanzania Press Clubs Union (UTPC) in collaboration with the Government Chief Spokespersons Information Department, Kipangula emphasized the importance of producing news that serves the public interest.
He noted that journalists must exercise caution when reporting on sensitive issues such as political, ethnic, and religious conflicts, which may trigger unrest if not handled carefully....
