SHINYANGA, March 6 -- INVESTORS have been urged to step forward and invest in basketball to help the sport reach greater heights in the country.

The call was made yesterday by Julius George, a player and patron of Kahama Sixers Basketball Team from Shinyanga Region, saying that Tanzanias basketball scene is steadily gaining momentum but requires stronger financial backing to sustain its growth.

George noted that improved investment and sound administration within the Tanzania Basketball Federation (TBF) would significantly enhance the quality and competitiveness of the sport.
