DAR ES SALAAM, April 19 -- WE must admit that the journey of youth is a delicate season of learning, patience and preparation for the future. Many young people today are tempted to rush into wealth acquisition without understanding consequences. Such impatience often leads to poor decisions, unethical shortcuts and eventual regret in life.
It is important for youths, especially those in public offices, to uphold honesty and responsibility. Leadership positions require integrity because society depends on fair service delivery and trust. When wealth is obtained through dubious means, it rarely brings peace or stability.
To emphasise this, even the holy scriptures across traditions warn that ill-gotten wealth does not endure or benefit it...
