DODOMA, Oct. 13 -- THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has removed ten wards from the upcoming 2025 General Election and cancelled the nominations of seven councillor candidates who had previously been approved in the affected areas.

In a statement released yesterday, INEC announced that the changes impact wards in both Katavi and Tabora regions.

The affected areas include Litapunga, Kanoge, Katumba and the villages of Ikolongo and Ndurumo in Mtapenda Ward, Nsimbo District, Katavi Region.

Other affected wards are Mishamo, Ilangu, Bulamata and Ipwaga in Tanganyika District, Katavi Region, as well as Milambo, Igombemkulu and Kanindo in Kaliua District, Tabora Region.
