DODOMA, Sept. 2 -- THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has upheld two parliamentary appeals and dismissed six others during a special meeting held in Dodoma over the weekend.
A statement signed by INECs Director of Elections, Ramadhan Kailima, also revealed that the Commission accepted two councillorship appeals and rejected three others.
The successful parliamentary appeals include that of Mr Ezekiel Katabi, the CHAUMMA Party parliamentary candidate for Muhambwe Constituency, against the Returning Officer for Muhambwe.
INEC also upheld the appeal of Mr Athuman Issah Henku, the Civic United Front (CUF) parliamentary candidate for Ikungi East Constituency, against Mr Thomas Mgongo Kitima, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) c...
