India opens 1,135 scholarship opportunities for Tanzanians
DAR ES SALAAM, July 23 -- TANZANIAN students have a fresh opportunity to pursue further education and professional training in India, with the Indian government offering 1,135 scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The package includes 1,000 places for short-term training and 135 scholarships for long-term academic programmes, opening new opportunities for Tanzanians seeking to advance their education and professional skills.
The announcement was made during the Third Round of Foreign Office Consultations between Tanzania and India, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation in Dar es Salaam.
