DODOMA, Sept. 19 -- When President Samia Suluhu Hassan launched the National Development Vision (NDV) 2050 (Dira 2050) in Dodoma on July 17, 2025, she proposed several measures that should be taken for the country to achieve a one-trillion-dollar economy. The measures and directives targeted both individual Tanzanians and institutions.

First and foremost, the Head of State advised that Tanzanians must change their mindset, the way they work and how they measure performance, as Dira 2050 has set an ambitious goal and target of attaining an upper-middle-income economy worth one trillion US dollars.
