HANDENI, Feb. 17 -- A clean cooking energy campaign has reached residents at markets and bus stations in Handeni District, Tanga, as part of government efforts to promote safe and sustainable energy use among citizens.

The campaign, conducted by the Ministry of Energy in partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), aims to ensure that 80 percent of Tanzanians use clean cooking energy by 2034.

During the outreach, the awareness team visited markets and bus hubs, engaging with residents and traders to identify the types of energy they currently use and educate them on the benefits of switching to clean cooking fuels.
