DODOMA, April 16 -- THE Ministry of Defence and National Service is working closely with the Ministry of Finance to ensure citizens, who gave way for the JKT Itaka area in Mbozi are paid 5.7bn/- in compensation.
Minister for Defence and National Service, Dr Simeon Nyansaho, said this in the National Assembly yesterday, while responding to Mbozi lawmaker Onesmo Mkondya, who sought to know when the compensation would be paid.
“Honourable Speaker, the Ministry conducted valuation in the Unit 845KJ – Itaka JKT area to facilitate compensation for citizens expected to vacate the land for military use,” he said.
