DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 30 -- HUNDREDS of Tanzanian students departed the country today for various international universities to pursue higher education opportunities through Global Education Link (GEL).

The students, who departed through Terminal 3 of Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, have largely opted for academic programmes aligned with science, technology and other disciplines that are increasingly critical to the global economy. Their areas of study include Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering, various health-related programmes, law and business.
