DODOMA, Aug. 12 -- TANZANIA Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) has urged the public to be vigilant against fake, false and misleading online contents.

Taking the stance TCRAs Head of Public Relations and Corporate Communication, Mr Rolf Kibaja, said in Dodoma recently that the authority has renewed its “Delete and Trash” campaign on responsible internet and social media use.

He warned consumers against forwarding misleading or malicious emails and social media posts, stressing that the campaign offers practical tips on responsible access and use of telecommunications services.

Mr Kibaja noted a rise in harmful online content capable of causing public disorder and threatening national security.
