DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 27 -- TANZANIAN farmers have been directed to appropriately use fertilizers since they stand as key players in the countrys healthier agro-economy.

The countrys agro-economy goal is supported by statistics that show it has facilitated the creation of eight million formal and informal jobs across the country over the past five years.

However, to build an inclusive and interconnected economy, it is important to understand that 75 to 80 percent of the population relies on farming as the main economic activity.

In efforts to support this large group of farmers, the government has increased fertilizer usage in agriculture.
