ARUSHA, June 17 -- FARMERS in the northern zone have called on the government to provide subsidies for tractors and modern agricultural equipment, saying such support would enable smallholder farmers to afford modern farming technologies and boost agricultural productivity across the country.

The request was made during the official inauguration of the Mobikey Agri Machinery Arusha Branch at Kikatiti Ward, Arusha Region.

The opening of the Arusha branch strengthens Mobikey Agri Machinerys growing nationwide network, which aims to improve farmers access to world-class tractors, agricultural machinery, spare parts, technical expertise and reliable after-sales support.
