ANTANANARIVO, Aug. 12 -- THE Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states have been urged to bank on the communitys economic development efforts saying economic liberation is a long process that requires firm cooperation and unwavering integration.

This statement was made by Zimbabwes Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, ahead of the swearing-in of Madagascars Foreign Minister, Rasata Rafaravavitafika, as the new Chairperson of the SADC Council of Ministers in Antananarivo, Madagascar, on August 12, 2025.
