ARUSHA, Oct. 5 -- THE President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr Tulia Ackson, has officially bid farewell to her leadership role after serving parliamentarians from various countries for three years.

Speaking at the 153rd IPU Assembly, taking place in Arusha from October 5 to 9, 2026, Dr. Tulia thanked parliamentarians for their cooperation and support throughout her tenure.

Dr Tulia said the achievements recorded during her leadership were not the result of one persons efforts, but were made possible through the solidarity and commitment of many people who were part of the journey.
