DAR ES SALAAM, July 31 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has, today, July 31, 2026, departed for Angola, for a two-day working visit at the invitation of Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.

During her tour of Luanda, President Samia and her host are expected to officiate the inauguration of a referral hospital named after Tanzanias Founding Father, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The ceremony will also be attended by members of Nyereres family, led by Mama Maria Nyerere.

In addition to the inauguration, President Samia will hold bilateral talks with President Lourenço to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation between Tanzania and Angola, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
