DAR ES SALAAM, June 30 -- THE Tanzanian government has collected 221.9bn/- in dividend from Twiga-Barrick, the highest amount the government collected from its public institutions for the 2025/26 period.

Tanzania has collected a total of 1.02tri/- from its public institutions and companies in which it holds shareholdings as of June 29, 2026, this year, marking a 30 per cent increase from collected during the same period last year.

This was revealed today, June 30, 2026, during the National Dividend Day ceremony held at the State House in Dar es Salaam, where President Samia Suluhu Hassan was the Chief Guest.
