DAR ES SALAAM, March 3 -- TANZANIAN President, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, has today, March 3, 2026,   laid the foundation stone for the Oil Receiving and 15 Storage Tanks Construction Project at the Port of Dar es Salaam in Kigamboni, and instructed the project to ensure it meets international safety and petroleum storage standards.

She insisted that in order to position Tanzania as a strong energy trade hub in the East and Central African region.

Speaking earlier today, the Head of State said the contractors and consultants must uphold quality, professionalism, and efficiency in its execution so that both the government and citizens fully benefit from the major investment.
