DODOMA, April 25 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed three officials to various institutions and made a minor reshuffle in the diplomatic area.

A statement issued today, April 24, 2026, by the Director of Presidential Communication stated that the Head of State named Engineer Peter Mwasalyanda as the new Director General of the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), taking over from Dr Jabiri Bakari, whose tenure has ended.

Before the appointment, Eng Mwasalyanda served as Chief Executive Officer of the Universal Communications Service Access Fund (UCSAF).
