DAR ES SALAAM, July 16 -- TANZANIAS Vice-President Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi has called on Tanzanian youths to embrace emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and telemedicine, to drive the transformation of Africas health sector and improve healthcare delivery.

The VP made the call in Dar es Salaam today, July 16, 2026, when addressing various participants at the Fourth Benjamin William Mkapa Legacy Forum noting that the former President Benjamin William Mkapa will continue to be remembered for his strong commitment to fighting both communicable and non-communicable diseases, including establishing the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS) to strengthen the national response against HIV and AIDS.
