WETE, Oct. 8 -- THE Chama cha Mapinduzi presidential running, Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, has affirmed the incoming governments efforts to strengthen the blue economy initiatives championed by the Zanzibar President, Dr. Hussein Ally Mwinyi.

Speaking during his election campaign rally in the Isles, Dr. Nchimbi said the government plans to improve the port of Wete, increase value addition in the fisheries sector, and enhance seaweed farming in a bid to promote the islands economic growth.
