ZANZIBAR, July 24 -- THE President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has sworn in four senior officials to key leadership and judicial positions, reaffirming the governments commitment to strengthening public institutions and improving service delivery.

The swearing-in ceremony was held on July 24, 2026, at the State House in Zanzibar, where Dr Josephine Rogathi Kimaro was sworn in as Executive Secretary of the Planning Commission.

During the ceremony, President Mwinyi also administered the oath of office to Valentine Andrew Katema and Khamis Ali Simai as Judges of the High Court of Zanzibar, a move aimed at strengthening the judiciary and enhancing the administration of justice.
