ZANZIBAR, Sept. 18 -- ZANZIBAR President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has reappointed Othman Masoud Othman as the First Vice President of Zanzibar.

The appointment took effect on September 18, 2026.

According to the statement, the newly reappointed First Vice President will be sworn in on September 22, 2026, at 10:00 at State House in Zanzibar.

Othman Masoud Othman will continue serving as First Vice President in the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar under the leadership of President Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi.
