ZANZIBAR, June 10 -- PRESIDENT of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has reaffirmed the governments commitment to supporting the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) in recognition of its significant contribution to education and national development.

Dr Mwinyi made the remarks today, June 10, 2026, during a meeting with a delegation from the Open University of Tanzania at the State House in Zanzibar. The delegation was led by the universitys Chancellor and former Prime Minister, Mr Mizengo Peter Pinda.
