MOMBASA, June 18 -- ZANZIBAR President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has met with the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Inger Andersen, to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation in environmental conservation and sustainable development.

During the meeting held in Mombasa, Kenya, the two leaders discussed various strategies for addressing the impacts of climate change, as well as measures to enhance the management and protection of marine resources, which are vital for economic and social development.
