DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 12 -- AS Tanzania embarks on the implementation of Dira 2050, the government is increasingly turning diplomacy into a tool for economic transformation, using international partnerships, regional integration and strategic engagement with global powers to attract investment, expand trade and accelerate development. The shift reflects a broader evolution in the countrys foreign policy.

According to the government, diplomacy is no longer viewed solely through the lens of political relations and international cooperation. Instead, it is increasingly being deployed to support economic growth, industrialisation, technology transfer, skills development and job creation.
