DAR ES SALAAM, April 24 -- Bongo Flava artist Abigail Chamungwana, popularly known as Abby Chams, has urged citizens to stop carrying cash and instead embrace card payments to enhance the safety of their money.

Speaking to Daily News during the signing ceremony of her ambassadorship deal with Visa Inc., Abby Chams said the use of cards helps control unnecessary spending while improving financial security.

She noted that people who carry cash often end up spending more impulsively, unlike card users who are able to manage their expenses more carefully and securely.
