DAR ES SALAAM, Dec. 12 -- THE Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, has confirmed that the expansion project of the Kinyerezi I Extension Power Receiving and Cooling Station has been officially completed, including the installation of a 175 MVA transformer.

Speaking during her visit to the Kinyerezi I, Kinyerezi II, Ubungo I, Ubungo II, and Ubungo III power generation stations, the  Deputy Minister said this step is crucial to ensuring a reliable electricity supply for residents of Dar es Salaam, particularly in areas like Mbagala and Gongo la Mboto, which have been facing frequent power outages due to population growth and increased economic activities.
