COAST REGION, Oct. 1 -- COAST Regional authorities are working to ensure all childrens day care centres meet required standards and are officially registered so as to improve child development initiatives.
Coast Regional Head of Community Development Department, Ms Grace Tete, said at a meeting in Kibaha that only 355 of the regions 748 day care centres are registered.
“Child care centres are one of the very important areas which need our close supervision,” said Tete at a recent evaluation meeting for the National Multi-Sectoral Early Childhood Development Programmes (NMECDP) in Kibaha.
