DAR ES SALAAM, April 23 -- THE Commission of Inquiry into the unrest linked to the 29 October 2025 General Election has dismissed allegations of mass graves in Kondo, saying extensive investigations found no evidence to support claims circulated by sections of the international media.

Presenting the commissions findings, Chairperson Mohamed Othman Chande said the inquiry carried out a thorough investigation involving site inspections, interviews with cemetery administrators and scientific analysis, including the use of satellite imagery.

Justice Chande said the commission visited and examined the Kondo burial grounds and engaged experts to verify the allegations through scientific methods.
