DODOMA, March 13 -- TANZANIA, through the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has reaffirmed its commitment to democratic governance, peaceful political participation and respect for the rule of law.

CCM Secretary-General, Dr AshaRose Migiro, made the remarks in Dodoma on Wednesday during talks with the United Nations Special Representative to the African Union and Head of the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU), Ambassador Parfait Onanga-Anyanga.

Ambassador Onanga-Anyanga is based in Addis Ababa and is currently visiting Tanzania as the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres.
