DODOMA, Oct. 6 -- THE ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has appealed to all Tanzanians to safeguard peace and unity as the country heads toward the General Election later this month.

SPEAKING during a press conference in Dodoma, the CCM Secretary for Ideology, Publicity and Training, Mr Kenani Kihongosi, said every citizen has a responsibility to protect the nations harmony and to stand as a guardian of peace.

“We all have a duty to protect the unity we enjoy, to defend our nation and to be guardians of peace in our communities. We must continue to show respect to our security and defence institutions by working with them whenever we sense any threats or challenges to our peace,” he said.
