MWANZA, Sept. 29 -- CHAMA Cha Kijamii (CCK) party has pledged a bold set of social welfare initiatives, including sponsoring youth marriages, should it be elected in the upcoming General Election.

Speaking during the launch of CCKs election campaigns in Mwanza last week, the partys presidential candidate Mr David Mwaijojele unveiled a platform centred on youth empowerment, employment, housing and social equity.

“Every mature man will have a wife, provided that the country is rich enough to make it possible through its abundance of natural resources,” said Mr Mwaijojele, while addressing a gathering of party supporters.
