DODOMA, Feb. 27 -- THE Football Association for Persons with Disabilities in Dodoma has launched a new initiative to form dedicated football teams for young people living with disabilities.

The association says the programme aims to increase access to sport and promote inclusion, while helping young people develop their skills and potential.

Speaking recently, the associations chairperson, Bam Bilasho, said an awareness campaign had begun targeting youths with limb disabilities, particularly those who have lost one arm or one leg.

He said they are being encouraged to register for training ahead of the formation of teams.
