Bunge committee offers advice for healthy workforce
DODOMA, Aug. 16 -- THE Parliamentary Committee on Social Welfare and Community Development has urged the government to increase staffing at the Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) to strengthen the protection of workers health, safety and welfare across the country.
Committee Chairperson Hawa Chakoma made the call in Dodoma over the weekend while opening a committee meeting to review implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Cap 297, Revised Edition 2023.
The review focused on workplace registration and the provision of occupational safety and health education to the public during the 2025/26 financial year.
