DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 27 -- The Government Chief Spokesperson, Gerson Msigwa, has highlighted the achievements of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), stating that the airline has generated more than  157m US dollars in revenue to date.

Speaking to media outlets at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, Msigwa said the success has been largely driven by a significant increase in passenger numbers.

He explained that passenger traffic rose from 822,232 in the 2021/2022 financial year to more than 1,400,000 in the 2025/2026 period, reflecting substantial growth in the airlines position within the aviation market.
