DAR ES SALAAM, Feb. 11 -- THE Tanzanian government Spokesperson and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Gerson Msigwa, has asked the public to dismiss claims that the government has lacked funds to construct the Arusha Stadium project.

Mr Msigwa made the clarification in Dar es Salaam, noting that the construction is on track and expected to be completed by July 2026 as planned.

The PS was prompted to make the statement following reports and social media posts alleging that Tanzania had sought financial assistance from China to finish the stadium.
